18th century castle, home of the Townshends, set in its own extensive private grounds on the inlet of Castlehaven Harbour.
In The Castle we provide bed and breakfast plus we have 2 self-catering apartments for 2 people each. Most of our bedrooms and the apartments have sea views.
We also self-catering holiday homes nearby.
There are 3 pubs in Castletownshend, one of which is also a restaurant and serves bar food in the village. There is also a village shop.
The market town of Skibbereen is 5 miles away, where there are supermarket, chemists etc. Skibbereen also has an 18 hole golf course.
There is a riding school about half an hour's drive away.
Castletownshend is ideally situated for touring Cork and Kerry.
